Town Centre Survey - the public have their say
Rob Purdie, Executive Director of the Northampton town centre BID has had a busy week ...
"Results of the new Town Centre Survey, conducted by the Chronicle & Echo, have been published.
Over 1,500 people completed the survey, answering questions about what shops and restaurants they would like to see in Northampton and what they think could improve the town centre.
Last week I was invited to meet the paper's editor David, to discuss the survey results and give the BID's feedback and thoughts. We agreed that it is time to think radical. We have reached a point where doing the same old same old is not working.
We can’t please everyone but we need to create a plan and vision. We need to align with partners, we need to be apolitical, and we need to have a plan – and work fast."
Read an online version of the survey results HERE and look out for an interview with Rob about the survey in this Thursday's Chronicle & Echo.
National Independents Month - meet our businesses
July is National Independent Retail Month and to celebrate we have been out and about chatting to boutiques and gift shops, salons, florists, tailors, cafes and so much more.
We are running a month-long social media campaign, sharing photos and stories on both our Twitter and Facebook accounts - all designed to help people, both local and visitors, to rediscover and unearth our hidden gems.
We also provided lots of photos to the Chronicle & Echo and you can read the fantastic article, which features many of our independent town centre businesses. HERE .
