After surveying, meeting and polling town centre businesses to gather your views we have submitted an official letter to Northamptonshire County Council - to object to their proposed changes.
The principal concerns raised by businesses concerns the variation to the hours for all time limited pay and display bays, limited waiting bays, loading bays and permit holder bays. Currently restrictions apply from 8am-6pm, Monday to Saturday. Under the new proposals this would change to 7am-7pm, 7 days a week.

Receipt of this letter has been acknowledged by Northamptonshire Highways, who have told us: "Thank you for your submission on behalf of the Northampton BID group, we will ensure the points raised are noted and included for consideration as part of the democratic decision making process."
