Best Bar Northamptonshire 2018
C alling all pubs, bars and nightclubs - enter the Best Bar None Northamptonshire awards and you could see trade increase by up to 40%.
The scheme, which highlights best practice among night time economy businesses, has been running in the UK for 17 years and is growing in popularity with over 75 awards operating country-wide.
In Northamptonshire, the Best Bar None awards is being run by the seven local authorities and, with winners in other towns and cities reporting an increase in trade by up to 40% and active crime reductions of between 18 – 33%, Northampton town centre BID is now urging town centre businesses to apply. There is also the chance for publicity in local media as well.
Enter today
The deadline for entries is Tuesday 15th May . Once you have applied a convenient time will be arranged for the inspection process to be carried out. Each inspection should last between two to three hours and consist of a thorough examination of the procedures and processes within venues and premises.

LGBT Shopping Evening
An LGBT Shopping Event hosted by Bohemian Finds in Market Walk on Thursday 26 th April will include dancing and stalls.
The event, which is in partnership with other town centre businesses; Lucci Leatherwear, Rockabelles, Ann Summers and The Lowdown, will take place between 6.30pm - 9pm.
All tickets are free.

New business opening and renovations
The BID welcomes two re-opened businesses into our town centre ...
The Optimist public house which opened last week on St Giles Street following a half-a-million-pound make over. The venue now has a modern feel and offers food, drink and live sports.
The Mailcoach on Derngate which has also re-opened after a three-week, six-figure renovation. It now boasts an industrial-themed look, brand new menu and nearly 50 gins behind the bar.
